Presenting a model
-
Hello all. I have drawn a 3D floor plan and I would like to present it to another individual. How do I go about this? Do I create a model and save it as such? I would like to save it to an USB stick and download it to his computer. I also would like it so he can view, zoom, pan around but not be able to change anything on it. How can this be done or is it not possible? Any help much appreciated. Thanks

If you've already drawn it in SketchUp, you have created a model. You can save it and copy the SKP file to a USB stick to transport it to his computer or you can probably just e-mail the file as long as it isn't larger than your e-mail service will allow.
As for letting him orbit, zoom and so on, he can install SketchUp and then open the file. Or, there's the SketchUp Viewer available for download here for PC and Mac and the Mobile Viewer which would let him look at it on an iOS or Android device.
If you give him the SKP file, there's nothing to stop him installing SketchUp and then modifying the file.
What is the ultimate use for the plan you've created?
