Nothing wrong with those textures and you have a nice model there too. Not planning on competing at Bisley are you? There are enough firearms there.

Wow, if this is your idea of a 'simple' model with 'bad textures' I would really love to see what you consider a detailed model with good textures
Seriously, don't beat yourself up for shortcomings that don't exist!

Textures seem to me bad, comparing my work to the work of other modelers, especially those made in V-ray.
I am using only free software (kerkythea, gimp), as it is not my job, just a hobby, the playing in the evening after work.
