      Hello!

Used to come here quite often several users ago ( around sketchup 7 ) and used sketchup for our furniture design, recently looking to get back into designing our furniture and came back to forums and sketchup to find a lot has changed.

What should I know? I still have Sketchup 7 and all the plugins, how much has the program changed and how much of a shock should I be in for?

Also is the general discussion section now for only premium members?

First thing is to upgrade to SketchUp 2014 or above.

It has 64bit and a ton of bug fixes. Plus 7 is not supported anymore.

I would not say you're in for a shock. Just more goodies around these days.

The Premium General Direction Discussion is where Premium content and offers are distributed.

There's also a normal and free discussion forum for all things SketchUp and Layout.

Just browse around and find your feet.

        Welcome back.
