PLEASE HELP ME OUT OF CRASHING!!!
-
Hello everyone,
I'm using SketchUp Pro 2016 on Windows 10, and I've started to use additional plugins in my modelings. Recently, whenever I start using "Soap Skin Bubble" plugin, the whole app suddenly keeps crashing, giving me the attached error. Worse, it even happens time to time when I've not even used this tool in a model.
I've tried uninstalling the whole program and every folder that was installed with it (e.g in ProgramData folder), and then intalling it again. I've ran "sfc /scannow", "dism /online /cleanup-image /checkhealth", and "dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth" commands to fix any probable damaged DLL files several times, and no error is found on that side any more. I also gave all my plugins (including the same version of Soap Skin Bubble tool) to another friend of mine who is using SketchUp 2016 as well, and he has never had a crash problem. I'm becoming helpless, while I really LOVE using Sketchup for my modelings. Please help me overocome this issue if you can, because the crashing has become really annoying and time-wasting due to ruining any changes I've given to the my model before the sudden crashing.
Really appreciate your help in advance.

Two things to start with.
Check that your Graphic Card Driver is up to date.
Try turning off Hardware Acceleration, this won't actually fix the problem but if the crashes stop then you know it's a graphic card issue.
You'll find it by going, Window/Preferences/OpenGl and untick use hardware acceleration.
It would help to know more about your system too, particularly the Graphic card or cards you have. -
Thanks a lot for your quick reply.
I've checked updating my graphic cards (I'm using Lenovo G50 laptop, it's got AMD A6-6310 APU with AMD Radeon R4 Graphics), and they're up to date. I also run other much graphic challenging programs like Photoshop CC 2016 and Adobe illustrator 2016, and they've never crashed even when I've had them both open simultaneously and switched back and forth to them while having operations on both.
Actually, the Sketchup had no crashing problem either before I'd start using Soap Skin Bubble plugin. Right now I'm using these plugins on my Sketchup, all in their latest updated versions:
Soap Skin Bubble
Flattery
Mirror
Multiple push/pull
Remove materials
Solid Inspector
Sketchup stl (for importing .stl files, which are ready to be printed by a 3D printer)
LibFredo6
Curviloft
Joint push/pull
Round corner
Tools on surfaceAny guesses what should I do? And please consider that I need to use Soap Skin tool for my projects, so deleting it is not the best option for me.

Did you try turning off Hardware Acceleration in Preferences>OpenGL as Box suggested? AMD Radeon cards are known for less than optimal OpenGL support so turning off Hardware Acceleration might help.

Thanks a lot Box and Dave, I unchecked the OpenGL, and it seems like my problem is solved! You're great guys. I promise to share the discoveries I've had in using Skethup like you to other people, so this community would become the most prosperous to its members.
