I have just installed Sketchup 2016 on a new imac having worked previously in 2016 on a macbook pro. For some odd reason that I can't fathom, when I try and draw a line, arc etc with the cursor arrow, where it snaps to a corner or edge, the coloured dot is really small and I can hardly see it.

I've tried settings on the imac but they only change the size of the cursor arrow and I can't find anything in Sketchup to increase the dot size - any clues?

The reason for this is because your new iMac has a very high resolution display. There are many threads on this subject here on SCF. As a workaround you can reduce the resolution of your display or see this where slbaumgartner has offered a set of double-sized images for the tools and other graphics.
