I can't edit the .3ds imported file ?!

Hi guys,I am new to SketchUp and i need some help.

I've imported .3ds file to sketchup but i can't edit any thing in the imported 3d model .

Welcome.

the geometry in your model is wrapped up as a component. In fact, it is double wrapped which it probably doesn't need to be. You can open the "wrapper" by double clicking on it with the Select tool. You'll need to do that twice to get in to the geometry itself. I would be inclined to explode the outer wrapper and leave only a single one. You can right click on the component and choose Explode.
