Which SUp Version?

I've been trying out 2016, really trying, but I don't like the tray,
so which other older version should I get, 2015, 14, 13? Maybe 8?

You should try to get comfortable with the tray, you shouldn't miss the improvements and new functions because of this...

I'm surprised, Joe. After the hours we spent yesterday talking about it, I didn't expect you'd still find the tray so much of a problem. As I showed you, you don't have to display the tray at all or you can set it to hide when you don't want it. You can make and customize trays to suit your needs. As Carsten said, you should try to get comfortable with them or just turn the tray off and ignore it.
As for older versions, the oldest you can download from the SketchUp site is 2014 Pro. As I said yesterday, I don't know if Trimble will sell a license for old, non-supported versions. You'd have to check with them to get the definitive answer. If they won't, you don't have many options. Either stick with SU5 or or go to SU2016.
