Has anyone announced the first Layout plugin? Has anyone heard of anyone working on one?

There's no API for Layout, so plugins are not possible.

There is an SDK, though, which means we can create external applications or Sketchup plugins that can generate or modify Layout files (but closed and saved on the disk)

We’re proud to announce our first step towards an extension ecosystem for LayOut in SketchUp Pro. Developers can now use a new C API to write code that reads, writes and modifies LayOut files. Cue the (surprisingly quiet) sound of a million programmers cheering.

Well there's no Ruby API that can modify the live model like in Sketchup.
