      Hi,

Does anyone know if there is a wrap tool available somewhere. For instance, when obtaining a 3D house model (or car) with all interior inside and you ONLY want to 3D print the outer contour (in a specific thickness), you definitely would like some kind of a wrap tool for that.

      Any suggestions ?

I'm not aware of any such plugin. For a manual method, if your individual pieces are solid, you could try a subtracting them all from a cube. No idea how well this would work.

Using the Section Plane, right click on it and choose "Create Group From Slice". Erase the Section Plane, edit the created group and erase everything inside.

Nothing is worthless, it can always be used as a bad example.

Thanks. Section plane is a too simple approach. SuSolid or Solid Inspector2 is probably the closest to what I look for but even those won't wrap easy. Just wrap, no questions asked ....

I think the I-materialize extension has a shell feature. Find it in the Extensions Warehouse.

                Hi Jim,

Thanks for your answer. I always use https://netfabb.azurewebsites.net/ which is great, but an external step. I would like to wrap within SU because stl im- and export always takes a lot of time AND removes layer/material data.
