Drawing a curve with a constantly decreasing radius.
-
Hi,
i've tried using the arc tools but i can't find a way to draw a circle with a radius that decreases by a certain factor between beginning and end, sort of like a single-turn, gentle spiral.
Any help greatly appreciated
Thanks,
Gary.

Do you mean something like this?
You could use Curve Maker from the Extension Warehouse.
By the way, if the radius varies, it can't be a circle.

Hi Dave, thanks for the reply.
I've tried every curve-type in curve maker but can't get it right.
Which curve did you use for your example, and can you stipulate start and end radii ?
Thanks,
Gary.

I don't remember which one I used, to be honest. It was before my coffee.
You can indeed enter the start and second radius along with the number of turns and other things. Pay attention to the Measurements box after you start the curve. Step through with Enter and make the desired adjustments.
Look at the author's website for more info about using these tools.

Thanks again Dave, it was Human Error of course !
I hadn't notice the change in prompt in the status bar, will keep eyes open in future
Cheers,
Gary.
