Does anyone know how to stop this? It is one of the reasons that i don't use the new versions of sketchup.I am a long time user and still prefer sketchup 8 pro to 2013, 2014 & 2015, for a number of reasons (especially incompatible rubies!!!!!!). But for the moment i have to use 2014 pro. When orbitting the model I press the scroll button on the mouse (whilst in any tool) to orbit, in 2013, 2014 and 2015, this activates both the orbit an the zoom-out feature, which is very irritating as you then have to zoom in again? Any ideas....so far I have seen no answers in any forums.

This sounds like an issue with your mouse, its drivers/settings, or your mouse technique, not with SketchUp per-se. That is, for some reason SketchUp is receiving multiple mouse input events when you press the button. Check what the system settings for the mouse are, they may be interfering with SketchUp. Can you borrow another mouse to see whether the problem is with the hardware? I don't know why you see this with newer versions but not with SketchUp 8 - perhaps they tuned up something in the GUI that used to drop almost-simultaneous mouse inputs...
