The Bridge, the Barge and the Croc - Kindle ebook

Yup, all sketchup, Thea and a little digital painting.
(Rich please pass on your code to any body you choose.)
Honestly, I don't make any money on these I would just like kids to learn about bridges. In this one the bots build a lift bridge and a suspension bridge with a story that hopefully keeps them interested.
I even made a trebuchet!
Thanks Rich!

Here are a couple more images on how the book is made. A lot of green screen work.

Sorry another quick concept idea for my next book. Sketchup and photoshop. (public domain octopus.)

Very nice -
You have a great imagination, Stuart!
-
You may have to go full time, I hope this makes you heaps of dosh. Bloomin' good luck to you.
-
Thanks for the nice comments! It has been difficult getting noticed in the book world but it is fun to try!
Here is another quick speed painting concept. I use my computer mouse and Gimp, I really need to buy a graphics tablet!
Thanks again!
Stuart

These look great. A graphic tablet would open up a whole new dimension for you, the cheapest tablet is worth ten mice for this type of work. I have a spare wacom bamboo if you live in the uk.

I once considered the possibility of someday thinking about moving to the UK. Does that count?

Steve, if Stuart doesn't want it I will certainly post it to you

Actually, with the work that Stuart is doing he could probably put it to really good use.
I appreciate the thought, tho

(if you ever have any extra cash you want to get rid of, keep me in mind

Thanks for the nice comments and the offer Tadema! I think my wife has a bamboo tablet laying around, I will have to "borrow" it and give it a try!
Couple more quick concepts and then off to practice.
A woody, and a tugboat zeppelin. (tugboat from warehouse.)

Great stuff! Glad to see you continuing this project and series.

Thanks Bryan! I now have a tablet and photoshop! Now I have to practice...
Here is one of my last (maybe) mouse/gimp sketches.

Hi Stuart,
I bought the book and read / viewed on my iPad. I was fascinated with your use of SketchUp for the artwork, well done. I have also posted a 5 star review.

Wow! Thank you so much!
I'm working on the next book and trying to improve the stories and the adventures.
Thanks again, I really appreciate it!

You're welcome Stuart. I'm looking forward to reading the story to my grandson for Christmas. Keep us posted of the development of the next book. I imagine there will be great interest in the graphics here.
-
Thanks again Mike, for the nice comments! I hope your grandson likes it.
I sometimes start with sketchup and kerkythea to get the models right and then photoshop some mood on them.
Others like the golden bridge use a bridge I designed (not gold!) and I try to improve it...
Thanks!
