Exporting 2D Elevations and Sections With Original Layers

Is there a paid or free plugin out there that will export a 2D view of a scene to DWG / DXF with the original layers visible in that scene?

It's possible to natively export a dwg with correct layers, as long as you put the raw geometry on its respective layers (ew). This is done using the 3D export, though - I don't believe the native 2D export supports layers.

2D exports only the ProfileEdges and SectionCutEdges. I was hoping that there was a way to export the original layers.
