Hi, Is there a Quick Look feature that exists for when searching through lots of .skp files without having to open each file. Naming each file does work but when searching for specific detail it would be very useful. Using Mac 10.8.5, 2014 Pro. Thanks

SU's native 'custom' icons stopped working after v8...
look at 'Add_Icon' in the Plugin Store...
the File menu option works on most SU version and the batch mode works on v15 [and for some macs on v14]...

if I recall correctly then XnView can natively recognize skp files and shows an icon from the last saved view

This is true, but I believe quickview is not icon display. It's something more complex like orbiting a model, for instance... Is it?

QuickLook, is a feature of Apple's mac 'Finder' application...
It is primarily an Icon viewer for 2d images, a page reader for text files and a 3d viewer for 'some' formats e.g. dae...
the purpose is to avoid opening an app just to 'see' the contents of a file...
The skp file format is not supported by any of these on a mac...
the Plugin I wrote can read the 'windows only' thumbnail that is inside the skp file and places it in an Apple resource fork that you can then view as a 2d image using 'QuickLook'
