Vray render on Sketchup 2015

hoping somebody can help
I recently have come back to vray for mac after using podium for a bit, but now it seems every time I start to do a vray render it says its encountered an error and freezes all of sketchup which I then need to force close and start again
I am on a imac, which seems to be the problem as its been tested on a windows machine and it seems to work fine
