Hi, I was modeling an interior scene and I have a lamp that should throw indirect illumination. The light is supposed to bounce from a curved surface (standard material) and illuminate the space behind the light source.

I tried using a hidden rectangle light pointing the surface it's supposed to bounce from, but I had to increase the intensity too much, generating other problems and not illuminating the space enough. I think the only solution is to use a bigger rectangle light that, due to its size, surpasses the space where the real hidden light would be, and make it double sided so it illuminates both the surface it's supposed to bounce from, and the space it's supposed to light. But probably the result won't be very good resembling reality. Would this be the best approach?

Anyway, this got me thinking on how to make light bounce from a mirror. I haven't found any information on this. If you point at a mirror with a spotlight, it will simply swallow the light. I guess this is related to my original problem, but, does anyone have any info on this?

      Thanks in advance!
