Honey Locust trees for Thea render (mod.thea) + OBJ files +
-
I've modeled three Honey Locust trees with The Plant Studio and put them on the Sketchucation store for sale at $7 (or $5.60 for Premium members).
http://sketchucation.com/shop/models/landscape/1400-honey-locust-trees
They are ready for render with Thea renderer.
I've also included OBJ's and textures for other render engines.
Each tree is approx 500.000 polygons.Note that there is no skp files in this pack since they are so polygon heavy.
-
Those are good looking tree models! Thanks for making them available! Will certainly remember when U have the need.
-
Great job! 500 000 polygons in each tree - how much time did you spend?
-
Thanks.
I made them all in my spare time in in a couple of days with Plant Factory. -
Look good! Can I ask why a SKP placeholder isn't inlcuded, especially as it's being sold through a SketchUP site?
-
Thanks. As far as I know there is no way of creating a placeholder for SU inside the Thea proxy without importing the whole tree model into SU. Since it's very polygon heavy that's not so easy to do even now that SU is 64 bit.
I've tried to make a new proxy from the proxy but sadly that didn't work. -
My shop trees are proxy billboards in SU and render the full trees.
Unless I misunderstand something?
-
Oh, then how do you do it?
-
You need to make a thea.lib file
This then installs all the needed items so the Thea Browser in SU loads the billboards.
The structure is like this...
/PixeroLibrary
description.txt
info.txt
|
|_Models
|
|_Trees
tree-01.mod.thea
tree-01.mod.skp...whereby you've a folder containing...
- 2 .txt files
- folder named for the library type (Models for models, Materials for maters....etc)
- within that folder a Named folder for branding etc...
- within that the model category/type
- within that the .mod.thea and .mod.skp file where the .skp is the face me billboards
