[Plugin][$] Profile Builder 2

since this is now the official thread, bringing here the question I made on the other one:

Hi Aces,
That's a difficult one to do with the plugin. In general, it is designed for profiles to be used to connect the components. You should be able to create a polyline profile for the wire mesh instead of a component but it won't be as realistic as what you are trying to achieve. Thanks for the feedback!
Whaat, wouldn´t you be able to achieve that by using code similar to FredoScale's Planar Shearing? It´s easy to think of other things that would benefit from it, like electricity poles connected by electrical wires (the wires would be an arc... planar shearing them when the poles have different heights would be better looking than rotating the arcs)

maybe you could be also interested in this cool pugin.. i find it more specific for that kind of stuff you're saying..

Now we need points, for example smart parametric openings cutting the lines(walls), and changing with them. Is it possible?
Hopefully someday...

Hi Panixia,
Thank you for your feedback! If you are able to reproduce any of these errors on a consistent basis, please let me know the detailed steps so I can fix these issues.

Just bought. Now I need this on my training Laptop as well.
Does it work with copy and paste in 2015 or do you offer another way?
Buy another copy?Seems the trial version could not be activated by a license now.
Hi Burkhard, if you hare having problems activating the license, please contact SketchUp Extension Warehouse support or check here:

Just purchased. Great script, Dale. I suppose it'd be even greater if it'd start to work.
Any ideas how to fix it?
P.S. Attached animation shows side-by-side PB1 (O.K.) vs PB2(defected) behavior.

Looks like an issue with your Smartdrop plugin. Try disabling that extension, restart SketchUp and trying PB2 again. -

no, thank you for considering the possibility of considering it
one more question... will there be a user manual?
and maybe I am missing something, but is there a way to update the built structure in case you decide to change some parameters, or we have to delete and build it again?

OK I'll try it in 2 days. Thank you for timely support.

sorry i deleted the test file.. my bad.. maybe next time the error will pop i'll send a better report or upload you the model to examinate -
I tried to buy the plugin, but the promotional price doesn't seem so promotional after all... especially that I have bought the first version few years ago.
First of all, PayPal not supported... second, what is that "tax" applied over the declared price? And if there is a tax, why the price isn't displayed WITH the tax, because I am not interested how much money the developer (or the website) gets from this, but rather how much I have to pay. Adding extra fees on the way is just not a fair way to do it. My opinion.

These are probably not choices of the Developer, but the seller. Taxes. The government will have their share.
-
I think the point is that the price advertised should include taxes.
Paypal not supported? That's unfortunate.
Why not have it available on Smustard.com as well?

I was a big fan and daily user of PB1, PB2 is just awesome. Purchased it couple of days ago and really like the new interface. The simple 2D profile stamp sounds simple but invaluable for 2D drafting. You can either mock up your details in SU or simply cut and past the profile direct in LO and do them there.
I have been trying to build my own assemblies as I see these being invaluable in the work I do. When you create your components and profiles and assemble them, is there a trick how to do this so you don't have to spend alot of time aligning the profiles and components in the assembly. Mine seem to end up all over the show.
Great work Whaat, love this plugin.

I wish the Author will overcome (in the near future) the biggest limitation:
only connected edges are accepted as profile path.
NB: Dudes leaf through the Help pages. This is really thermo-nuclear power plugin! -

thanks Panixia. I know that plugin. It´s better for joining a few electricity poles. But what if you want to place 100 poles with the wires?

I don't agree on the taxes. Taxes are never advertised in the US. They are different according to the manner of the transaction and where you are. Sales taxes are by state and local government (it can be a different amount in the next town).
I would ask where is the tax coming from? When I buy something from Colorado, I am charged California sales tax, because that's where I am. If you are in another country I don't know where the tax is generated.
