i want to offer my open apologize to you.Hi Deaneau,
I appreciate your open apology even though I never got a chance to read the post your referring to. I am guessing you were frustrated by the lack of video tutorials. I agree, more tutorials are needed.I had planned to be releasing about two video tutorials per week since PB2 was released but I have only been able to release a total of two so far.
Things usually don't work out as planned. I have been bombarded with multiple Paypal support requests and problems with installation / licensing. Addressing these problems have become my first priority and unfortunately, these issues cannot be resolved in days, it takes weeks (I am just one person after all and I do this in my limited spare time).
Once these critical issues have been resolved, I plan to be releasing more video tutorials. Hopefully, it won't be too long.
I thank you all for your patience and support of my work.

i want to offer my open apologize to you.Hi Dale, my rude words was **never**my intension. The F-Words i have used in my early life.
my intension was, to tell... manuals will be good, movies/videos will be better and both together is the best solution.(my opinion). if you look over the shoolder of your foreman(?) in Woodworking (for example) or you will learn to build a building or what ever, some times you will learn faster.
..yes you could read a book about woodworking... however this is not the same when you use this in real life.
theory and praxis is a dream team. or text and pictures.Again: Excuse Me!
Dean
p.s. to find the right words is some times difficult for non native speakers.
I have read this now
and now i know what it real mean.
deep flame in Germany you could become fine/penalty/forfeit. doing this again you could go in the Jail. i dont know how long.

for me it self. your plugin was easy to use.
i have find out a good solution for paiment if the Dev or Trimble accept only Visa etc.A Prepaid Visa.
My Bank provide a Prepaid Visa. cost for this 3 Euro per month. this is a good solution.
the currency Euro to Dollar is in the time 1 PM CET or CEST Time Zone (CET β Central European Time/CEST β Central European Summer Time (Daylight Saving Time)). Ok this is not important for you.
When you tell, you accept only USD my Bank send this than in USD... if you have not telling what you accept my Bank send EUR. this is only important, if the currency is bad for you.i understand this if you have had problems.
Adam (Lightup4Sketchup) provide Paypal. you could contact him and could ask...how many troubles have had Adam in the last time. i have not nowledge about this.
Paypal is like Prepaid. i send Money via my Bank Account to Paypal and paypal send this to your paypal account (PPA) . From this PPA you can send the Money to your Bank Account.
Or you can let this Money on your PPA and you can instantly pay other products in shops. Many Shops in Ebay accept Paypal, too.
below the line is important that you and the user have no loss.
this what i write isΒ΄t new for you i think.
what you can do is a freeware version like PB1 for non professional. same concept. new profile generation is disabled.
i could produce tutorials. with Subtext/Subtitle with or without voice.
if you want i could send you an voice example
look here ,
ok this sound not 100% like an origin voice..how ever this voice is understandable for non native listener .
the pro version for PC (only for PC) have more cost.
and the studio version is more professional.. you can edit...how must the voice speek.
some voices will have ML features. an native amarican voice can speek french or spain too
i have the ipad version..not so expansive like the PC pro version an good for my need.

this message you have posted, tell you that you have open the same file open in the background in the first windows.
if you start a sketchup file (PC) via WindowsExplorer (WE)...Sketchup start a new Windows. the second windows of sketchup open than a read only version of the same file.
If you start a SKP via sketchup menue... you will see a save dialog popup.
if you need thumbnail view in WE than use the tip by cotty.. and us XnView
This is like WE however with more features.

Dean,
Thanks for the information. I finally got it to save as a modification of the original file. It would be nice to see a "How to" video on the proper way to do this.
Thank You,
Paul (Made from Germans)

IΒ΄m a little bit connfused about "How To.."
you have had find a way or solution and an other produce a How To Video? -
Decided to go ahead and buy Version 2.2.0.3.
Gets to the "Install" and hangs up.
Tried with and without the beta version 2_2_0(1) installed.
NADA -
Dean,
Yes, you are correct....A "How To" video would teach you how to do a specific task. For example, it would show you all the steps involved in building an Industrial Stairsassembly That's what I'm working on now.

Bob,
Same thing happened to me when I downloaded the trial version and the purchased one though the Extension Warehouse. Sketchup would freeze up like it was fixin' to Bugsplat. I would just walk away for a few minutes and it would be installed when I came back. Weird behavior for sure.

I have found a slightly problematic issue with Profile Builder. I have noticed that when building profiles, profile builder does not respect the axis of the current context - only the main model axis. It gets difficult to use when designing rooms that are not aligned in the same axis as the main model. It would be great if it did!
Also goes for adding a custom profile - when adding a custom profile using the (+) button, the axis of the profile is taken from the axis of the model, and not the context in which the face is in.
I hope this issue can get fixed soon. I am being nit picky as Profile Builder 2 is a great plugin, and is only inches away from perfection..,

Thanks Tommy, a few others have commented on this issue and I will put in my TODO list. Hopefully, this can be fixed..

I suppose a work around is to save and open that context (component) as a separate model to use Profile builder, then reload?
-
he he i would do this..however my version is expired. next month i must go to my bank and must pay a visa. my fear is..if i have pay a visa...Whaat have found a way to pay via paypal.
@TommyK
the first part of ProfileBuilder2 is like followme...however more comfortable.
I must confess that i have not really understand what your problem is.pictures could help to understand better.

Does it have some way to follow 2 paths? Like a 2-rail sweep in other programs?
Just want to make sure I am not missing it.

Dale: An excellent plugin overall but I have this issue:
When I build a member from a profile that has a reversed shape (a "C" shape for example) it can not be edited with the trim or extend tools.
Trim Error message:
SketchUp
To trim, the end of the Profile Member must not be modified. Rebuild Profile Member?
Yes No
clicking yes has no effect
Extend Error message:
SketchUp
The selected end has been modified and cannot be extended.
OK

Thanks for reporting! It could be a bug. I'll look into it.
