Is there a way to SET the Viewport to an Aspect Ratio (16:9)
-
ON A MAC.
Just interested in knowing if this is possible.
I know about Advanced Camera Tools, but it doesn't set the display viewport, and the renders are larger.IIRC, Podium, about a hundred years ago, used to have some sort of tool that did this. I don't know if it ever made it as an available download.
Thanks for any thoughts or ideas on this!

there are many ways...
none of them simple...
I've written about 8 un-published plugins...the easiest to date is called 'View Port Ratio' which aids you in set predefined aspect ratios...
I've PM'd it to a number of people, and had little or no complaints...
I keep changing it, so if you want a copy ask and I'll PM one in return for feed back...others who have used it could comment here...

It works the same on a PC, but IE can make it look a bit rubbish...

I've not downloaded John's latest version, but I have a previous one and don't know how I could get reliable print setups without it!

Sorry but settings do nothing but enter the data but I am unable to pull any edges to resize the viewport per your example.
Pushing with the cursor (not yours)on the edges causes the side pushed to expand continuously.
I must re-set using a saved View.
Also I did a plugin clean and remove but no help there either.Hope this is of some help.

Viewport works but:
Exist viewport window must NOT be full screen.
No special cursor used in Windows just std cursor to tug and pull edges and corners.
Thanks to Driven for sharing this nifty thingy.dtr
