I am on maintenance but have put off upgrading to 2015.

I have finally put my 64 bit computer together and would like to upgrade, however the new version will be going on a different computer than 2014 is on. What's the correct procedure?

      Thank you

Download and install SU2015 and buy the license as needed and off you go. You should be able to sign in on the SketchUp site and indicate you're upgrading from SU2014.

I believe your licence allows you to put a copy on another computer, but you are only able to run one at a time. I have a copy on my desktop and laptop

A long delay in responding, I know ---

As I stated in my original post, I am on maintenance and am entitled to the 2015 Pro upgrade without additional cost.

I downloaded and installed SU 2015. It installed as a trial version and asks me to "buy a license." I don't need to buy a license, I have one already. The issue comes from my trying to install SU on a different computer than the one that the previous (SU2014Pro) is on.

The 'trial' version has expired, so now what do I do? I'm certain that many users purchase new computers and somehow manage to get the license transferred. I must be missing something pretty basic.

            Thanks

You should be contacting SketchUp customer support instead of trying to get the problem resolved here. We don't have any control over licensing.

if your maintenance is running you should have received already your SUP 2015 license data by your supplier approx. in November 2014. Be aware, that license data of older SUP versions as e.g. your SUP 2014 won't work with the recent SUP 2015.

if you do have the SUP 2015 license data and don't wanna user the SUP 2014 version further, remove the license data in SUP 2014 via "Help > License" and enter your SUP 2015 license data either in the splash dialog resp. "Help > License" at the new system. An active internet connection and a LAN adapter as well as a working MS Internet Explorer v9+ resp. Apple Safari is required for doing this.
