    An easy PC question...

I need to install some rb plugins and I've got a problem I never had with SU 2014. So far, my plugins have all been rbz autoinstalls, so I am looking for the plugins folder... but there isn't one!

    Where do they go?

            Joel

The default location on windows is now found at C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2015\SketchUp\Plugins

          "Sketchup 2014/ Sketchup/ Plugins"

This is 15, not 14. There is no Appdata sub of user. There is no Sketchup subfolder of sketchup 2015. The Tools folder has rbs in it.

As an alternative that eliminates the need to show or even find the Plugin folders is to make an RBZ file and use Install Extension to install it automatically.

If you have a file zipping tool (7-zip is a good free one), select the .rb file and create a zip file. Then rename it from .zip to .rbz. Then you're off to the races. this also works for plugins that come as zip files. Just rename them and use Install Extension.

Oh yeah? I don't need to be a coding guru? That's easy.

No. No coding guru. You just have to be able to be able to rename the zip file after you create it. Any chimp can do that. ๐Ÿ˜„
