I was wondering if I could bind the pan tool to one of the extra buttons on my mouse. Having a three button mouse is amazing so you can use the orbit tool while using other tools. I like to look around a lot to see different perspectives when I making something so it helps a lot. The orbit and zoom tools are hard to move around freely by themselves, but often require the pan tool, but sadly this is not bound to a mouse button. I know that you can do shift+middle, but I really don't like that. This would almost impossible to bind another tool to a normal three button mouse because it has used all of it's buttons, but i have a gaming mouse with about 3 extra buttons.

the "H" on the keyboard starts Pan, so I would imagine you configure the mouse button to this..

edit...however press the left button while in orbit activates pan

personally, I would make that other hand do some work

I was about to post the same question..

Ive read that you can change it in the setup of your mouse but not in SketchUp itself.
i don't have a mouse with specialty drivers so its just basic options for me, maybe your gaming mouse might have more luck.

Does no one have an answer for this?
