I was wondering if anyone might be able to tell me how to delete templates from the master file in Layout. I have done it before but, have long forgotten how I did it.

Also, is there a way to edit your templates (something similar to editing a scrapbook) instead of saving over the old template?

      Many thanks!

I think I have figured out the answer to my own question.

First, to delete a template, you have to go into the C:/Program Data/sketchup/Layout/Templates and delete it from there.

If you want to edit a template, go through the same directory as listed above and open it from there. Once you finish editing, click save and it will just save it (sometimes, it will ask you to overwrite the existing file).

Good on you to get it sorted. I have some templates that tend to get updated annually. I wind up opening the template directly from LayOut. Then I make the required changes and save it as a new template with the year in the template name. Helps me know I've got all of them updated. then I go through the folder and delete the unneeded ones.
