In the render i get the results i wanted, but in the model when i import vismats they all look the same, gray, im talkime about the model not the render, anyone??

You're going to need to provide example files for this most likely. This doesn't sound like a common issue. It would also be helpful to find out what version you're using. Have you tried contacting support@chaosgroup.com about it yet?

If you use sketchup materials does it show up properly on the model (both rendered and not)? If not perhaps its something simple like having monochrome turned on in the styles palette? But otherwise it sounds like where the information for the vismat is located SU can't find any images for the diffuse map to use.

some very old vismats might not have the texture in the diffuse slot. I recall issues like that going from 1.0 to 1.5. Make sure the vismats you are using are more current (If they are that old, then you may be better off re-building the material from scratch with the maps that are provided)
