How to edit a floor plan in Sketchup layout?

is there a way to edit line weight and add doors to a floor plan in layout sketchup?

I assume you mean that you have drawn the floor plan in SketchUp and have it in a viewport in LayOut. You can change the weight of all lines in the viewport under the Styles tab in the SketchUp inspector. You need to select the viewport first. That line weight value is applied to all lines so if you have profiles set to some weight greater than 1 in the SketchUp style, those lines will get proportionally heavier.
If you want further control over line weight, you can explode the viewport after rendering in Vector. Then you can change the weight of edges in the Shape Style inspector. You will likely need to ungroup before doing this.
The downside of the second option is that you lose the dynamic link back to the SketchUp model. Make sure you won't need to make any changes to the view in SketchUp before exploding in LayOut.
As for drawing in door swings, yes, you can do that. There's the Line and Arc tools at your disposal.

My suggestion, trace the floor plan in layout and get a really nice crisp presentation. Will take half the time of mucking around and you wont get all the nightmare lines that result from exploding the vectored SU model. In fact I do all plans in Layout and then model up in SU!
