Dome light VS no dome light
-
In the attached picture I have a dome light added to the scence (left). In the right no dome light.
The blue hue in the right render is standard in Vray as far as I know? Can this be changed to white?
The left scence with the dome light has a yellow tone? I have no yellow setting anywhere. Why is that?
Thanks!

The default setting is for vray to use the sun and sky system, the sky is a physically based model, and gives a blue-ish light. You can change settings like ozone and turbidity to reduce the blue cast somewhat.
When you add a domelight, you get whatever color you set your domelight to, white being default. Depending on your intensity - the domelight can wash out the blue color cast from the sky, but you may still have the slight yellow from the sun which is more intense.
One solution would be to turn off the sun light and use only the domelight with a simple HDRI. The sketchucation shop has a nice pack of basic "studio" scenes, some of which cast only white lights. That might be the way to go, as you would get a stronger shadow than if you are just using the domelight with a color (which is directionless and won't give you much in the way of proper shadows.)
