I think your question is not clear enough. Do you have an image?

So it's going to be a bar/serving area with one open end. I want the 2 opposing halves to be divided equally into 3 pieces with the segment opposite the entrance the same size as the entrance. Perhaps the image will make this clearer. Maybe it was in credo tools or sub divide and ???

          Thanks

              .

this isn't exactly what you're asking about but personally, i feel it's the better way to go about it in sketchup since you end up with better vertex placement.. it uses fredo's bezier spline plugin:
              http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=13563

the guide lines portion are simply a means to illustrate what's happening.. not a necessary step though.

              1. truncated elliptical shape.
              2. with BezierSpline installed, right click on the curve then BZ-convert to -> Polyline Segmentor .. in this example, i divided into 42 segments (7 sections of 6 equal segments)
              3. offset/extrude/etc.. since the segments of the curve are all equally spaced now, you can count segment and do your dividing on the curve vertices.. (example shows every 6th segment being divided)

Yes that's the one I meant, freddo tools.

Although Cotto's way will work just fine. Thanks chaps
