Grasshopper to SketchUp?
-
Is it real?

looks like it's a SU import plugin that imports live updates from Rhino...
doesn't appear to be a two way street...

i don't get it
you have to use rhino & grasshopper anyway so why wouldn't you just do everything in rhino in the first place.. then export out to sketchup when you're done if need be.
?(like- what's the reasoning/advantage with updating the sketchup model after every rhino operation?)

I have no idea...

I have to dito Jeff.
If I remember correctly there was a topic where Tig and Thomthom helped this guy making the .rb import geometry with the help of a timer. So that's how it works (?).
Maybe there are some extra precautions for getting viable geometry in Sketchup,
and positioning the geometry ?Also if it does becomes a "2 way street", this plugin could be very useful for Rhino-users,
importing Sketchup geometry on the fly..I don't own Rhino so I can't test...
FYI. I'm still working on a Sketchup integrated solution on a daily basis.
Nothing fancy as Grasshopper of course..

I believe the demo lets you save a rhino project 15 times but the Grasshopper plugin saves grasshopper "scripts" in its own file format apart from those rhino saves so you can test it.
