Sure! Jam, marmalade, fruit preserves, fruit spreads, fruit butter, etc. Oh, and peanut butter.

You can also put pies up there. Or single-layer cakes and cobblers. Or a layer of cookies. Or a saucer of milk for the cat who's up there to keep mice out of the cupboard.
I'll admit that the shelf a little high. If only the web site I used as a reference had more dimensions. -
