      Pennsylvania jelly cupboard.pngPennsylvania jelly cupboard.skp
Here's a model based on another piece for sale on the 1stdibs web site. It's a Pennsylvania jelly cupboard, once a common fixture in kitchens. The original was made of pine, probably in the Lehigh Valley or Lancaster County, sometime between 1820 and 1840. It was refreshing to do a simple case piece after modeling a number of chairs.

          Nice work, David.

Sometimes it is a pleasant change to model something with mostly straight lines.

            Thanks, all.
Yeah, it's good to model something simple: lots of straight lines, not a lot of microscopic parts.

If I make it look easy...It is probably easy

Sure! Jam, marmalade, fruit preserves, fruit spreads, fruit butter, etc. Oh, and peanut butter. πŸ˜„

You can also put pies up there. Or single-layer cakes and cobblers. Or a layer of cookies. Or a saucer of milk for the cat who's up there to keep mice out of the cupboard.
I'll admit that the shelf a little high. If only the web site I used as a reference had more dimensions.

OK, everyone. I can take a hint. I changed the position of all the shelves.

My mother used to sing a song "Must be jelly, 'cause jam don't shake like that."
