      Hi,

I try to make a hole. as simple as that... usually all it take is to make a circle and push\pull it to make a hole.

but for some reason, I cant make a hole without destroying the face.

Please someone try and tell me what went wrong with the model... I have wasted 2 hours just to figure out what is wrong with it.

      Thanks 😒

It kind of looks to me as if the bottom face isn't parallel to the top one. They must be close but not close enough. To get the hole to go through, I extruded it beyond the bottom face and used Intersect Faces to cut it off at the bottom surface.

Dave is right, the top face is not parra to the bottom. If you turn on colour by axis you can see the edge is black not green like the rest of the face.
If you worked at a larger scale you might not have the same problem or it would be easier to see and fix.
Also get in the habit of purging your models, it drops from 1.14 mb to 84kb once you've gotten rid of the dynamic component.

Wow... You are right they weren't parallel, there was a 0.1mm difference. πŸ˜’

Thanks for teaching me some tricks. I am not using Sketchup the right way.

            Thanks!
