If you are seriously considering upgrading to the 2015 version, you should renew your maintenance subscription (if not too late); you get any new software versions and/or updates for free that come out during your maintenance subscription. Maintenance is $199, which is a lot cheaper than buying an upgrade.

It would be great if PlantFactory items could be imported into LumenRT; at the eon software forums, they've mentioned they are working on it, but have been noncommittal in regards to this next release.

Well, I don't have a maintenance subscription so my question about upgrade price from version 4 to version 5 stands.

That would be awesome as I get calls for plants that are not available in the standard library like just a few days ago i needed plants for a home in new Mexico and had to run around hunting for them, if Plant factory was integrated it would be as simple as finding one in the extensive library or creating it yourself, that way it will blow in the wind as needed.

Oh, I would also need to buy plant factory as i doubt my PLE will work.

I'm in a similar boat. Most of the plants offered in the standard library do not work for East Tennessee. And it seems most render app libraries always fall short on shrubs.

I don't have the need for this with the 3D work I'm making, but it sure looks awesome...

this looks great.
I design tv studio sets and award show sets - its clear to see that this software renders outside scenes very well
could it handle interior (no sun) scenes - how do the lights work? i know its not made for this but what software is. (im looking for something along the of lumion or lumenrt or even unreal4 - lighting directors use some software called WYSIWYG and Realizzer these don't give wow renders or movies - I have Thea but its a faff rendering and re-rendering lights and simply pointing them is a pain - i end up with something very basic with no 'wow' and no time even, to go into photoshop. i want movies - and the live cubes sound exactly what i want)

Solo have you tried just lights?

LumenRT 2015 is fully compatible with SU 2015.

Just copy the plugin over from 2014 to
2015:
