V-ray material scale
-
Hello
Iv got problem with scale of material in v-ray. Normally i can use sketchup material editor to scale material but im trying to create gold material in v-ray. I downloaded .mat material for 3ds max v-ray and i get three maps from file. Bump, displacement and specular, i assign them properly and the effect is greate just as i wanted (material render sooooo slow:P). Only problem is scale, maby someone smarter than me can help:)
P.s. I tried to set bump mat to diffuse layer then i can scale it in sketchup material editor but as i see only bump map scale and diplacement and specular not and after setting this map to diffuse layer there is some shity effect:/
P.s. Sorry for my English im from country at the end of the world -
So there is a trick to this.
A) Create a Diffused layer, place a copy of your bump map in it, set the transparency to TexAColor (make it white)
B) Create another Diffused layer, make this all of your gold settings w/ bump, spec etc.C) Sketchup will see the first diffused layer (will show up as your bump map). So you can scale it as needed, but when you render it will show up as gold.
