Create the window-frame.

Hello, I'm new to SketchUp, and can't figure out how to make a through hole in the window frame, before I get pushed by the push pull tool to the brink and I got through hole(see picture 1).
Now in the wall began to do the window and can't do a through hole (see picture 2).
What am I doing wrong, tell me, please.
