I have created a document in layout with 16 pages. As of last week i had no issue with it, but now when i go page to page it freezes on pages 6 and moves no further. All links are up to date. I tried going backward but was only able to go 3 or 4 pages then it freezes again. Would appreciate some help in fixing this or else i would have to go create the document a second time and it took me awhile to do the first one. 😞

There are a few different possibilities. Try turning off Auto Render for the SketchUp viewports immediately after opening the project. With that turned off can you get through all of the pages?

Have you used models downloaded from the 3D Warehouse? I've seen a number of examples where some components from the 3DWH have caused LO to drag because they have so many edges. There are some kitchen appliance models out there that are heavily triangulated and have way too much internal detail. While rendering in Hybrid or Vector, all those lines cause LO to appear to stop. It's just taking a long time to render all those edges. Cleaning up the model could help.

One practice I adopted back in LO2 and 3 and which I still use is to turn off layers for things that aren't visible in a scene so LO doesn't have to render them. It works quite well for me.

          Thank Dave R,
Your suggestion was quite helpful. I imported floor plans from autocad of massive structure which was highly detailed and when i inserted it into LO I used hybrid render. There were 3 floor levels each on a seperate page. I just left it and after hours of waiting each page opened eventually and I changed the render setting..Now I'm able to flick through my pages with no problems....Thanks alot and sorry for taking long to reply
