I have been perusing and downloading some of the many extensions out there and some of them don't work (or at least I am doing something wrong).

My question is that since 2014 came out, I cannot find the "Plugins" folder oin the directory. When i want to find a plugin (to delete it) it says it's in sketchup/sketchup2014/plugins. the only problem is that when I follow the path on my πŸ˜„ drive, I cannot find a Plugins folder under SU14. I used to be able to see it in the directory (in previous versions of SU). Am I missing something here? Is it a "hidden folder or what?

The quick answer is that it has been moved out of the program folder, which helps with the problems caused by needing to reset the security permissions.
The new path is "C:\Users*yourusername*\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2014\SketchUp\Plugins"

The easiest way to work with plugins is to install the sketucation plugin and manage them that way. This even has the ability to open your plugin folder for you. The link to download it is at the top of the page.
Most plugins need to be updated to work with the newer version of SU so make sure you have the most up to date plugins, downloading fresh via the sketchucation plugin means you don't have any old versions.

Depending on how you have your system set up (with users and whatnot...) it's going to be something like this:

          C:\Users\Eric's Graphics\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2014\SketchUp\Plugins

The main thing to note here is that with SU 2014 plugins are not in your main SU program files folder anymore, they are in your C:\Users....\AppData etc.

...and if I remember correctly it seems like either the \AppData\ or the \Roaming\ folder is a hidden file and probably read only.

Oops somebody got to it while I was typing...
Box is right though. Use the sketchucation plugin installer.
