Australia are world champions once again after thrashing the Netherlands 6 - 1.....!!!
oh....hang on....this topic is about Soccer....and Australia don't do so well at that.
In fact the Netherlands are about to seek revenge on Australia later this week after what we did to their Hockey team.....I have a feeling it won't be a very pretty score line.....!!

lol @ Kookaburras, there is just no respect for lawn hockey.

Argies woke up in 2nd half. At least their manager recognised that his starting 11 weren't the right choice.

Yeah, I wan England to win as Italy are my team's (Germany) kryptonite.
Solo let's hope italy shares some of it's knowledge with us then... We will need it if we are to stand against the all mighty german team today at 5h00... after skipping work, to get the kids at school and before preparing dinner, just to make it on time to get them to bed and still watch the next match at 20h00...
It's ruining my life and it will make me feel miserable if Portugal looses to Germany today... I hate the WC!

This is what makes soccer or "futbal" so great and at the top of my Must Ignore List.

I'm optimistic, call me Australia.... I think we'll get closer to Netherlands that Spain did.
And Germany 4-0 over Portugal??? Gee, some big names conceding big scores!!
Germany V Netherlands in the final.

My confidence is soaring from today's game 2-1 win over Ghana, the team that knocked us Americans' out of the last two World Cups.
It's is a big deal win for USA

Actually I'm a bit disappointed with myself, with all the shrimps, beer, barbecue, and friends that gathered together to watch the match, I didn't feel a bit sad with the final score, that's why I also love "futebol" it's a passionate thing that takes no influence in your life...
BTW well deserved score, after the first penalty goal, Portugal did nothing to turn events around, we just did even worse for ourselves. I hope this was a lesson learnt as the one we had in the first match of 2004... against Greece we also lost and we only lost again on the final... problem is that it was with Greece too!

That was a great win for

The dutch wil strike again against Australia.
In the game today the Netherlands will play in the same system as against Spain, and then we will succeed again. I think this game wil give us a record score perhaps 7-0 for Netherlands.
van Persie/Robben/Sneijder is de golden boys of us.

Y'all are good and the Socceroos are really bad, however the ball is round and anything can happen.
That being said Go Chile!! I'd like to see Spain exit early.

I'm afraid no Photoshop was used to create that image... In every city you can find streets where people have wrapped their house in orange plastic...
-
of course not, it is my own street

and thats already 1-0 for the Netherlands
and
now 1-1 -

now 1-1Bet you never expected the Socceroos to come play like they did today.
Hats off to the boys from down under.
