Toolbar Oddities
-
Whenever I start 2014 Pro, the large toolbar is placed slightly below the top horizontal toolbars. I move it up and it stays put. When I start 2014 again it is moved slightly lower. Not an earth shaking problem but annoying nonetheless. Has anyone else noticed this behavior?

Yes on your question.
Have you noticed a delay in loading? White work space for about 5 seconds? The toolbar and menu frame are displayed but not the work area. -
Hi,
I had the problem with the White space also. I suspected the problem is with a plugin. After I had deactivated !SketchUcation_loader.rb the problem was solved.

This has been a thing since the beginning with SU2014. It is odd that the native toolbar(s) won't stay pushed up to the top. I got around the wasted real estate by sticking in a couple of single button toolbars thusly:
I don't know why disabling the Sketchucation Loader would change the behavior. It happened for me before installing the Sketchucation Plugin Store.

I get the white space lag but assumed SU was loading the plugin toolbars before painting the screen. I never considered it a problem. I rearranged my toolbars without the double wide large toolbar so the niggling gap is gone. I find it curious that I don't have any toolbar issues in any other program I'm using. SU seems to have achieved a unique status in this regard.

The creation and display of toolbars depends for example on reading the program's configurations (SketchUp allows showing/hiding) etc., so the whole process might differ from one program to another even if they use the same type of toolbars. Also programs might use different totally user interface toolkits.

These two are anyway more important than the lower...
