I have a new Mac (OSX 10.8.5) and a new version of Sketchup (Pro 14) and I am unable to install any of my favorite plugins. Mainly LibFredo and FredoScale. With my administrator's help I have installed the extensions into the correct folder, but they are not able to load into sketchup. The error message is "Unable to install this Extension. Consult your Extension's documentation for additional help." I was also hoping to install the Sketchucation Tools extension. Help please!

      10.8.5 is not current OSX.

It sounds to me as if you haven't set permissions for the Plugins folder correctly. Permissions must be set to Read & Write.

Yeah upgrade OSX because there is some software that just doesn't work on older versions. The new OSX isn't drastically different.

I have set the sharing and permissions to read and write, it did not resolve the issue.

How are you trying to install them? What is the path to the Plugins folder you are using? Clearly you need to give some information since we cannot see your computer. Maybe you could help by making some screen shots of the Finder showing the Plugins folder, its contents and the path to it.
