I just got a notice from Trimble that it's time to renew my Maintenance and Support. It's not much - $95, but I'm trying to remember what I got over the last year for the $95. Also I'm not clear what happens if I don't renew and just wait for the next release. The notice says: "Please renew now to avoid reinstatement fee." What's the reinstatement fee? How much?

Kind of confused - maybe someone can chime in and clarify?

It would probably be best to get in touch with the SketchUp Customer Support folks. They'll be able to give you the real info.

I think it's the same like the enrollment fee for SU8 users if you already had subsription. Only two names for the same thing to make it more confusing... ๐Ÿ˜†
It looks like it is $50 at the moment (!) if you skip one update:

If you skip upgrading for one year, you would pay an upgrade cost of $95 for single-user license or $150 per seat for network license, plus a enrollment fee of $50. The total cost will be $145 and $200 respectively if upgrading after skipping the upgrade for one year or more.

But they are still not saying what happens if you skip two versions... on purpose?!? ๐Ÿ˜’

Yeah, I guess that's the issue. The icons for SketchUp 2014 & 2013 are both on my taskbar. I'm often not aware of which one I've opened. There's so little difference. $95 isn't much but if Trimble had bundled all of the changes between the last two versions into a plugin and offered it for sale I doubt I would have even considered it.

            Maybe I'll wait this time.

Do you use LayOut at all?

What are the pricing options for the Maintenance & Support Plan?
                Single-user: $95 USD per year

$50 Enrollment fee if upgrading SketchUp Pro 8 and older licenses.
$50 Reinstatement fee if youโ€™re renewing an expired Maintenance & Support Plan.

It does not matter which previous version you are on, it remains one fee only.

                  Thanks for the reply.

Intermittently. Primarily as a means to export 3D views of SketchUp models, not for CDs which come out of AutoCAD LT in my workflow. LO generates a much better image quality than Rhino so sometimes I'll import my Rhino work to create perspective views out of LO. Therefore, none of the big improvements of the last release affect me much.
