    Hello,

In a previous model I discovered in some components disappeared edges. How can this happen? Is there an easy way to fix it? Thanks in advance.

are they hidden? if so, you can unhide them
(while inside the component: Edit-> Unhide-> All)

        Hi Jeff,

hidden is unchecked. But with the component is something wrong. When I try to save it I get a BugSplat. I'll try upload the complete model.

Might copy the geometry out of the component and make a new one.

yeah, there's something weird going on in there but i didn't dig in enough to find out exactly what..

there are (seemingly unnecessary) groups and components inside other groups and components as well as different layers involved.. if you explode everything down to one level then the lines come back.. also, validity check is reporting a lot of errors.

idk, personally, i'd redraw it and forget about it.. but i'm sure someone in more of an investigative mindset today will dig in there and figure out why exactly it's behaving this way.

Where those edges are missing the faces are missing too. You have some raw geometry on layers other than layer0. So I suspect it's a layer issue. Did you delete a layer? It look like somehow you split the geometry of that group over two layers then deleted the layer with those specific edges and faces.

Simply exploding the lower most group fixes the problem. But I would look at how you are using layers.

On a side note there are a couple of artifacts floating around that will cause you problems. If you hit zoom extents you will see that it zooms out, there is a small triangular face in one direction and an edge off in another direction.

                Thank you all.
I had copied the window out of a larger model and I was amazed about the thousands of edges. After I had exloded the whole component the problem was solved.
