      Hey guys!

I have this model that I'm trying to export to GEM so I could create a "parametric" like facade. How ever in order to do that, for this specific model, I need to have all my model faces as squares!

Is there a plugin or any way to make this curved shape smoother and all squared?

This is the model that I'm trying to improve

The method probably depends on how you want the squares to be. Here is my attempt. Remove the faces and go back to the outline. Divide the outline according to the number of faces you want. Run Curviloft skinning of shapes.

I'm not sure what you mean by squares.
          Do you mean like this?

I think he means with no triangulation..

which isn't possible in sketchup due to lack of quads.

(of course- I could be misinterpreting -or- no fully thinking this one through πŸ˜„ )

Mmm that's why I asked, I though perhaps he just wanted quads not actual squares.

Sorry guys for the confusion that I may have caused. By squares I meant quads, hehe

Yeah you can turn my model into pseudo-quads with Quad face tools, but that's what they are: "pseudo", I guess. I like my answer as far as SU is concerned. πŸ˜›
