Thanks for confirming that crash guys. Solo, removing sounds would be a bad idea. Sounds, including the 3D sounds would be essential for future FPS games in SU.

future games that last only 12 minutes is surely not viable? would it not make more sense to get the plugin to work properly first then sort out the problems?

I will fix that crash. That's why I said future. SketchyPhysics, too, uses SDL, but it uses an older version which seems to work without crashing. Maybe I just drop back to SDL1 and have sounds running from there.

Hi Anton. Will be updates? Because if not, then we need to stay the SketchyP. It does not matter if there are no "joins". Only "BugSplat" problem should be corrected. But this would be much better because the source of "clean", and it works 64-bit as well. The "SketchyPhysics" therefore much fewer people used, however could be used the 32-bit version of SketchUp 2015...

Hi Pitu. I'm taking some break from programming as there are times when one gets bored and looses motivation in it. I do, however, plan to resume works during summer break. Best wishes, Anton.

Hi Anton, please stay tuned to your good work, even if the feedback at the moment is relatively low. There are only a few people that can handle such complex tasks as confident as you. You made SketchyPhysics to run very stable, and MS-Physics is again a quantum leap. I'm very excited about it and I think many other people also. Thank you!

Hello I am having trouble installing arm_Lib. I assume this is the controls and joints plugin. I have the UI plugin MSPhysics 0.2.1 plugin, and I have msvcrt-ruby200.dll as I assumed this was higher than msvcrt-ruby18.dll. I have Sketchup Pro 2014. Any thoughts on how to fix this?

Hi Anton. Can MSPhysics do wind? I've made some trees and would like to have them move in the breeze while animating using Thea render.

Anton, i checked your YouTube channel and your newest uploaded videos are all using SketchyPhysics, not MS physics

Does that mean MS will be discontinued?

Btw,i never knew SketchyPhysics could do partcle simulation like in that rocket video!!!

I'm having trouble getting MSPhysics to work. I'm using SketchUp Make 2015, not Pro. Is this plugin intended and working for SU Pro only?

I'm running MS Windows 7 Pro 64bit. I downloaded and extracted MSPhysics 0.2.1 and AMS Library 2.2.0 to the plugins folder. I downloaded and extracted msvcrt-ruby18.dll to the main SU program folder.

When I create a cube and click the play button on the MSP toolbar, a few seconds later I get a bugsplat.

I remember when SketchyPhysics worked in earlier versions of SU, you made a ground plane and then you could build and manipulate objects on it. Does MSP require a ground plane? Do I need to assign MSP attributes to objects? Also, I don't see the advanced toolbars like the demo video shows. What am I missing?

                                Any help would be appreciated.

                                Thanks.

                                  BillMack,

You don't need msvcrt-ruby18.dll for SU2014 or later. It is only required for SU2013 and prior. In fact, for the next MSPhysics release, upgrading Ruby version would no longer be required.

I currently don't know why you get a bugsplat. I plane or assigning MSPhysics attributes isn't required. Everything should work well, but since you get a bugsplat, a sample model would be appreciated.

The reason you don't see various 'advanced' icons in your toolbar is because I have moved them to simulation UI, just to save space. Open simulation UI, and check various checkbox options. You can control these advanced options even while simulation is running.

And as I wrote in earlier posts, MSPhysics is still a work in progress and many features haven't been added yet. As well, the current version bugsplats every 13 minutes of using SketchUp due to the new music & sound library which is probably bugged. I reverted to an old music & sound library and everything seems to work fine now, but I'm planning to add more features before releasing MSPhysics as the next alpha release.

                                  Hope that helps,
                                  Anton

I make a basic model with a plane and a cube or sphere. SU always crashes when I hit play button on MSP.

I uploaded a picture here and a basic model to Jumpshare: http://jmp.sh/3nmjYeH

I tested it on my Windows 7, SU2015 x64, AMS Library 2.2.0 & MSPhysics 0.2.1, and I don't get any crashes. I don't know what is causing it on your PC. Maybe it has to do with the fact that you changed your Ruby interpreter to 1.8. If you haven't so, try changing Ruby interpreter to an original one; undo all changes you done in SU program folder.

As well, try playing MSPhysics with no models. I suspect that it will crash on your PC regardless of whether you have or don't have any entities in simulation; there is probably another reason that it crashes.

                                        Anton_S,

Thanks for your help on this. There must be something wrong with my system.

One of the first things I tried was to remove the MSP and AMS Library plugins, as well as remove the unnecessary Ruby 1.8. I added the MSP and AMS plugins back, but still had the bugsplat.

I also tried updating my video driver, but same result. Then I tried switching off hardware acceleration under the OpenGL preference, but it crashes just the same.

I'll try removing SU 2015. I remember when SU 2015 was first released, it was buggy for some folks when it came to the free Make mode licensing after 30 day trial period. I'll download the latest release and try again.

                                        Thanks.

I tested that model in my SU2014 (32bit), AMS Libary 2.2.0 & MSPhysics 0.2.1 and I didn't get any crashes, but none models moved due to errors in MSPhysics 0.2.1. But that still doesn't explain why you got a bugsplat.

                                          Edit: However, I haven't tested it on SU2015 (32bit). I'm wondering if you're using SU2015 32bit or SU2015 x64.
