Toolbars playing up... [2013]

Not sure whats going on [just loaded 2014] but in 2013 my toolbars are not remaining where they belong. My VCB sits in the right hand bottom corner every other day but when I close and open the application it ends up in the middle of the bottom dock...
Any ideas?

Andrew, when you open SketchUp and the VCB is in the middle, or not in the lower right corner, anyway, look at View>Toolbars and check to see if there's a tick mark for Measurements. If so, untick that box and close SketchUp. Does it stay unticked and does the VCB remain in the lower right corner?

It's only when I turn on the VCB manually, Dave that it moves from where I positioned it after a re-start. Really weird.
I think I'll just stick with the fixed VCB for now....

If by turn it on manually you mean tick the box next to measurements in the list of toolbars, then it is a toolbar and will appear wherever you left it. You can slide it left to right or drag it off the status bar. If you have it sitting right side and you use the restore down button it will move to the right hand corner of the smaller window but not move back when you maximize.
If it is the measurement box in the status bar that turns on and off from a right click context menu on the status bar itself then something is odd.
