**I have a strange problem with copying from an open sketchup file to another open sketchup file.
The first is an assembly(planer cart) with subassemblies. The second is a building (my shop)
with quite a few assemblies and also the details of the shop building itself.
In the open shop building drawing I want to copy the modifed planer cart(subassys and components
names changed) and paste it in place to the shop building drawing.

I saved the drawings before I did the copy/paste. The subassy and componet names did not
copy to the new shop drawing.

Maybe I hit a limit? What am I doing wrong?**

Do you mean you aren't seeing the components inside your nested component when you look in the Components window? If so, did you click on Expand in the Components menu?
