Can anyone tell me why the Smoove tool causes SU to go into interminable Not Responding mode with this mesh?

      Thx

Don't preselect the mesh. With a large mesh like this it happens when it is preselected. Sometimes it seems that the mesh will get selected while you are working on it then the same thing happens as you apply smoove. I think it is poor design. SU should prevent that from happening.

Want to have fun (doing a lot of this sort of thing) get Vertex Tools or Artisan.

Haven't tried Artisan, but I like Vertex a lot. My trial ran out so I just bought it.
