I think I might have found a possible solution to the camera plane clipping that many people seem to be complaining about. While playing with a file that recently began acting up, I noticed that the problem only occurred after I began to use the advanced camera tool set. After much trouble shooting, I noticed that the problem did occur because of the model size, but that it did not relate to what I had placed in the model.

When placing a camera in sketchup, the program creates the usual cones that show the camera's field of view. In many cases that this has occurred to me, the problem of camera plan clipping was resolved by exploding or deleting these components.

This is my first post. Hopefully it helps someone.
Sorry if it is in the wrong location.

I've had what sounds like a similar problem over the years. Mainly when I zoom in close to an object.
Large file size makes it more likely.
One fix appears to be: Zoom Extends. And then reset the field of view. The problem is more likely with wide angle of view.
