      hi there,

i m having a rly hard time with this sky issue

I m using an .exr file for both my GI (skylight ) and reflection in environment, and i have disabled everything related to sky from sketchup styles
However, everytime i render, the bottom part of the background ( the sky ) shows above the .exr image

the part where the ground is works right, showing the .exr and appearing on the alpha channel, however the top part just doesnt wanna disappear.

what exactly m i doing wrong?

this is the image from the vray buffer screen

this is the alpha, u can see that only the ground part is invisible

this is the rendered pic with the white sky

It's not quite clear from your post - are you using the dome light? If so, you can edit your domelight to be hidden. Further down in the light editor window there is a setting under "options" for dome light to be invisible.
