    Hi

please guide me how to draw lines etc in Layout so that they are in the same scale like my scene scale. Lets say I have a table drawn in SU and it hase a scale 1:8 in layout. And I would like to draw a vase in layout using layout tools (maybe not the best example, but it shows the point). So to do that I would like all lines I draw to be in scale 1:8. How to do that?

Dimensions of things drawn in LayOut are based on paper space. You could do several things to draw your vase and have it match the table scale.

      1. Do the math to convert all the dimensions to 1/8 of the real world dimensions.
      2. Draw the vase in SU, set the viewport to 1:8 and trace it with LO's tools.
      3. Draw at real world dimensions and scale the drawing down .125.

Someone else may have another suggestion but those should get you started.

When I read this the first time, I got really confused...
The question doesn't make much sense... It would be the same as asking how to sketch something on a piece of paper in a certain scale...

Answer is simple: You draw/sketch it in the correct scale - not visa versa...

          Cheers

As Dave said in 2. but you can change the scene to vector and explode it into LO entities.
